Welcome to my blog!

Join and watch me rant about things I care about, things I find interesting or things I just have something to say about.

FALL FALL FALL

I LOVE fall. All things Fall.  The colors, wearing sweats again, sweater season making a comeback, trees changing colors, holidays, and my favorite of all, pumpkin spice. Fall is one of those things where you forget how much you love it until it comes back. At least that's what Fall is to me.

Fall Feelings

With the aroma of pumpkin spice and cinnamon in every crisp breeze, fall is a time of warm, inviting magic. Everything is enveloped in a cozy, sentimental light as the landscape changes into a canvas of deep reds, gentle oranges, and golden leaves. Boots crunching on fallen leaves, soft scarves, and oversized sweaters are like an embrace for your soul. Curling up with and a steaming cup of pumpkin spice under a blanket with a good movie while the autumn sun peeps through the trees is quite calming. The season's warmth is not limited to the weather; it also comes from its invitation to slow down, appreciate the small things in life, and see the beauty in change.

Season of Giving

Words cannot describe the little kid that comes out of me during Christmas time. All of a sudden, I am no longer a girl in her twenties, I'm a little girl grinning ear to ear at the Christmas lights that brighten up the roads at night, and the scent that beams off the pine tree in our living room.

The Shell Shock of Life After a School Break

The stress-free period of what winter break means for a college kid is like ice cream on a hot day or the fuzzy feeling you get on a swing when you reach the high point of swinging back and forth. In short, that break is heaven on earth. But what's hell? The realization that the world didn't stop when you left school and that when your back, every single responsibility and list of never ending to dos is waiting for you. The break of reality is just a pause and when you are forced to hit resume, when you are nowhere near ready to do so, life gets hard, it gets stressful and seems impossible at times. But this eye-opening moment of oh shit, I have things to do, is not a fun realization. You always know it's coming yet are always surprised when it does.
